  1. Mother of Pearl :: Resort 2013

    December 4, 2012 by Erin Fletcher

    Mother of Pearl paired with British artist Gary Hume for their debut Resort 2013 collection. Hume’s paintings are distinguished by their vibrant color palette and simple imagery depicting flora and fauna, as well as portraits. Mother of Pearl transforms Hume’s work into sensationally stylized floral garments, adding flair to a basic pair of jogging pants and sweaters. Oh yeah, did you see the collar tassels!

  2. Cacharel :: Resort 2013

    November 20, 2012 by Erin Fletcher

    Anyone for a quick game of tennis? These sporty chic garments from Cacharel Resort 2013 offer soft silhouettes with cinched waist lines with patterns jumping from itty bitty pastel floral prints to brilliant kaleidoscopic florals.

  3. SUNO :: Resort 2013

    Plaid, stripes, florals, oh my! Pattern play is my favorite, who cares if it doesn’t match in the traditional sense. Suno Resort 2013 is all about mixing patterns to create a funky, youthful look. On top of the patterns these garments have great texture from lace to sequins; as well as a mixture of silhouettes from cinched waist to A-line dresses.

  4. Marc Jacobs :: Resort 2013

    October 2, 2012 by Erin Fletcher

    Marc Jacobs is by far my favorite designer, surprising me season after season. Using Cindy Sherman’s Clown Series as a platform, the 2013 Resort collection incorporates oversized costume-like garments decorated by either oversized or shrunken patterns in a vivid range of colors: polka dots paired with plaids, folk florals, carnations, butterflies and lace.

  5. Peter Som :: Resort 2013

    August 20, 2012 by Erin Fletcher

    Sophistication and elegance are the two descriptors that came to mind with I first laid eyes on this slim T-shirt gown cut from mint Chantilly lace, a highlight of the Resort 2013 collection from Peter Som. This new collection is a described as “nomad chic, with a Talitha Getty sort of feeling” with inspiration also coming in from Moorish doors and Moroccan tiles.
