You will fall in love Leah Reena Goren, trust me. She’s an all around superstar, transforming her watercolor illustrations into delightful decor for your home and body. Leah’s work has been scattered all over the internet at various boutiques and blogs. I’ve already raved about her Moon Phase Scarf, a most recent collaboration for Leah, Rachael & Julia

Over at Etsy you will find even more scarves and other garments, as well as totes and prints for your walls. Even though she’s currently on holiday vacation, bookmark it and check her out at Society6.

Plus, she’s got a thing for drawing flowers and cats, which I just can’t resist ogling.

  2. Artist: Sarah McNeil

Sarah McNeil illustrates portraits in such a delicate manner, softly painting in pigments with flourishes of color to accentuate cheeks, collars and rainbows beaming from pockets. What I love most are her pet portraits; someday, we’ll honor our little Lima and Peru with a custom characterization.

  3. Artist: Liz Riccardi

December 13, 2012 by Erin Fletcher

Corralling clients such as Devendra Banhart, Coca Cola and Nylon Magazine, artist Liz Riccardi is spreading her wacky illustrations all over the place. What I love about Liz’s work, is the pleasure of creating and imagination is so apparent in each of her pieces.

  4. Artist: Caleb Luke Lin

December 5, 2012 by Erin Fletcher

Infographics are popping up everywhere on the internet, so why not use them as patterns on garments. Talented illustrator Caleb Luke Lin has turned his delectable designs into stylish kerchiefs. Caleb is also the creator of many delightful paintings, prints and illustrations.

  5. Artist: Naomi Wilkinson

November 29, 2012 by Erin Fletcher

Operating with a most gorgeous palette of rich, muted colors and earth tones, illustrator Naomi Wilkinson generates images with power, playfulness and spirit. Also, check out her shop on Etsy for digital reproductions of her work.

  6. Artist: Becca Stadtlander

August 15, 2012 by Erin Fletcher

As an illustrator, Becca Stadtlander creates images worth more than just a thousand words. She develops scenes and characters of magic and intrigue. Plus her sense of color is magnificent; she can flood an image with warm tones without it being harsh or over baring (see Living Room below). As a bonus you can purchase prints of her originals through her Etsy shop.

  7. Artist: Sanya Glisic

July 26, 2012 by Erin Fletcher

Sanya Glisic is an illustrator and printer located in Chicago, who cleverly creates dynamic imagery with the use of a few colors (combing muted and saturated) underneath lines varying in thickness and depth.  I first fell in love with Sanya’s work through her zodiac series being sold through her Etsy shop Horsedrawn Carriage.  Jason and I own the two screenprints shown above; I find myself getting lost in the details, studying the fine line work in awe.

Sanya’s illustrations perfectly marry the foul and eerie feeling behind the cautionary tales in the 19th century German publication of Struwwelpeter.  In 2010 she reprinted the tales alongside the illustrations inspired by them in her own artist book.
