It has been in the 50s for the past two days in Boston, which means the heavy, gray veil of winter is slowly lifting and spring is on the horizon. Spring time reminds me of the colors forgotten during the dreary months of white snow and grey clouds, which in turn reminds me about flowers and the gorgeous floral paintings of artist Lulie Wallace

Not only does Lulie Wallace have a great name, she’s also an amazing painter whose madly in love with color and texture.  She transforms the idea of the traditional floral still life through layers of radical shapes, vibrant colors and simple patterns.  As a bonus, her work is for sale and you can commission her to paint a custom bouquet or floral arrangement.

Massimo Giorgetti in partnership with the Paoloni Group created the brand MSGM in 2008.  Season after season MSGM stays fresh by mixing captivating new ideas and current trends inspired by the expressive aesthetic of contemporary musicians and artists.  The Pre-Fall 2012 line layers kaleidoscopic shapes on top of florals on top of saturated brights into feminine and sophisticated silhouettes.
